Mega Miner

                                    OVERVIEW

Mega Miner is inspired by the old flash game with the same name. Your goal is to collect ores from the ground with the help of a drill and sell them to upgrade your tools for mining even deeper and find more valuable gems.

                                    GAMEPLAY

• Use W, A, S, D or arrow keys to move the miner around.
• Use SPACE to interact with buildings.
• Use the mouse to buy upgrades and select menus.
• Sell the ores at the store, repair your vehicle at the mechanic and refill your tank at the gas station when needed.

                             PRODUCTION

This project is made entirely in the Python programming language.  I started working on it in August 2024 and finished it in around a month. I decided to publish it here, on itch.io, so that other people can enjoy the nostalgia this game gives. I tried to make some things original while also keeping the natural feeling of the old Mega Miner.

All visual assets were drawn by me, NarcusHero, in Pydraw.

Most sounds were provided by Pixabay and the songs were made by me in Bandlab.

                               INSTALLING

This game is free to download and play and it's only available on Windows.

Press the "Download Now" button, a window will appear and in the center there's a button which takes you to the files. If you have an itch account, you simply download it and you're ready to play. Without an itch account, after downloading it, Windows might send you a notification, but this happens just for security reasons, and the game is not a threat. Afterwards you must right click the archive and extract it to folder. The .exe file will be in there.
